I chose to see “The Beast” not knowing anything about it other than it stars Samuel L. Jackson and is directed by Renny Harlin. I hwas not disappointed. “The Beast” is pure adrenaline from the moment it starts. The United States and most of the world is under siege by an unknown army. The President of the United States is escaping in a vehicle named the Beast. This is not just an armored, bullet proof SUV. It is a weapon, a tank and awesome. Jackson plays POTUS and at first he sounds presidential. (I was disappointed.) Once he gets going the Samuel Jackson we have come to expect emerges with the swearing, mother f*&kers and shit talk we expect. All in all it was a lot of action and very entertaining.
